YOU SPOKE - WE LISTENED - WAX BUDDY III
Thank you all for your comments about our product to make it the best WAX COMB on the market. You scraped many surfboards and combed a lot of them to get in the water sooner and the item that came up the most was that the teeth was too tiny and too close together and made the wax stick to them.
We took that information as an opportunity to improve on our design and not only did we make the teeth larger, more rounded at the top (safer for the surfboard) and further apart so the wax can flow through easier but we increased the size of the ribs on the backside to strengthen the BUDDY ever further. We are excited to say that the expanded teeth actually makes the wax have more gripping power when combed in a criss cross pattern.
It is being made now and will be available soon. Ask your local surf shop for the WAX BUDDY III.
Thank you again for caring so much to tell us how we could improve our BUDDY.

THE EVOLUTION OF THE WAX COMB - WAX BUDDY HAS PROVEN TO BE THE BEST
Just look at how far we have come with removing our dirty wax from surfboards. We all know that dirty wax adds weight to our surfboards and makes them ride differently so several times a year, every surfer needs to remove that old wax and replace it with fresh new wax. (it also makes your surfboard look brand new again and that is pretty cool as well). Anyway, it is cool to see the evolution of the simple wax comb.
A Brief History:
A long time ago, surfers used paraffin wax for they surfboards. They would iron on the wax and then use a comb to roughen up the wax so they could get the necessary grip they needed to stand on it and not slip off. This is when the simple wax comb was developed, it was designed to comb the smooth ironed on wax so it would create traction. It really never was designed to remove the caked on dirty wax from your surfboard.
When surfers wanted to remove the dirty wax, the wax comb did not work (because the teeth dug into their hands) so they ended us using their mom's kitchen spatular or dad's putty knife to remove the wax. No one thought about creating a specific tool for that job.
Fast forward 100 years later, an Surfer/Architect from Rhode Island had enough of this nonsense and designed his own surf wax removal tool that was specifically designed to remove the dirty caked on wax. He then added a comb to his product as well as a rail cleaner to clean the sides of his surfboards. He created a three in one surf tool, called it the WAX BUDDY (because this little Buddy helped him clean off his wax) and started to sell it to surf shops. Other surfers loved it, shapers and repair guys loved it then distributors started calling to carry it for their own surf shops. The rest is history.
Today, the WAX BUDDY has become the next generation wax comb and it is now the standard for every surfer, surf shop, shaper, repair guy, rental place, surf school and many large surf companies using it as a promotional piece for surfers around the world.
Today, John Adams is spearheading this incredible company called the Endless Wave Surf Company and their proudest product to date called the WAX BUDY is being sold in over 20 countries around the world. We are so proud of our little eco friendly product and we thank each and every one of you because it is YOU that had made the WAX BUDDY a global success.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
